What the Blix? Saddam Blix

Ok I don’t know who has seen this but Hans Blix has obviously lost his mind, well not completely but just a little. He was quoted in a paper saying and I quote:

“Saddam would still have been sitting in office. Okay, that is negative and it would not have been joyful for the Iraqi people. But what we have gotten is undoubtedly worse,” he was quoted as saying.

Ok I agree with him to an extent if Saddam was in power yes there would be less insurgencies going on in fact it would be tame compared to the civil war that is about to break out now.The only reason that would be is because Saddam unlike the US would commit war crimes while suppresing the people. To me a trade-off of peace supported by possible death is not what we are looking for in the middle east. The problem is that even if we were able to establish a Democracy in Iraq which it is looking more and more like we will not, the people there would still hate Americans. That is one thing we are failing to take into account. I’m not a fan of the President but Blix has tobe off his rocker if he thinks the people of Iraq would be better off under Saddam.

Home sales remind me of Wal-Mart “Prices are falling”

The National Association of Realtors reported that housing prices fell for the 6th straight month.

WASHINGTON – Sales of existing homes fell for a sixth straight month in September and the median sales price dropped on an annual basis by the largest amount on record, further documenting a lukewarm housing market.

The National Association of Realtors reported that sales of previously owned homes fell by 1.9 percent in September to a seasonally adjusted sales pace of 6.18 million units, the slowest sales rate since January 2004.

The median price of a single-family home fell to $219,800 last month, a drop of 2.5 percent from the price in September 2005. That was the biggest year-over-year price decline in records going back nearly four decades.

The market is continueing to fall so the question now is, “Is it still a good idea to get into the real estate market?”. Doing some research there are many people who still believe you can “Make money in a down market” the thing is you just have to do more research, be patient and best of all have some luck!!
